BAI’s Ashley Marshall to speak at IWCE 2016

12 January 2016

Since 1977, the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) has been the authoritative annual event for communications technology professionals in the working world.

IWCE features over 370 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and trends in the industry. Over 7,000 individuals attend from a diverse group of industry professionals including government/military; public safety (law enforcement, fire service, emergency medical & 911); utility; transportation and business enterprise.

Ashley Marshall, BAI’s National Business Development Director for critical communications, will present “Covering the Last Mile – Rural Challenges” as part of the power session on Spectrum and Signal Optimization.

Many countries have rural and undeveloped areas where both RF and broadband service is non-existent. Among the challenges to coverage are a lack of population density, distance between population centers and terrain. Ashley will explore how satellite technologies can increase bandwidth needs and coverage for these areas, and how it can be used across divergent technologies including long-range digital radios, cellular phones, deployable units and video applications.

This year’s show will be held March 21-25, 2016 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.
