Toronto Public Library (TPL) and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), two of Toronto’s most iconic organizations, are thrilled to announce the launch of TTC Reads, an exciting and fun way for commuters to make the most of their travel time. TTC riders are able to access a variety of ebooks, including romance, biographies, travel guides and more – all curated by librarians specifically for commuters.

How TTC Reads works

To access content, TTC customers visit tpl.ca/ttcreads to choose from a number of current and popular books in different categories. Both library card holders and non-library card holders can sample all of the digital content. Library card holders can download the full titles as well as thousands of other ebooks and eaudiobooks available through the library.

BAI Communications, the service provider for the TTC’s free Wi-Fi network, is making it even easier for subway riders to access free ebooks by providing the connectivity needed to access the TTC Reads website. A direct link to the website will be available on the TCONNECT login page for most device types.
