Can you tell us about your role and responsibilities with Mobilitie?
As the Director for Wireless Solutions in the U.S Central region, I work with carriers to help determine the best wireless solutions for their needs. I’m proud to play a key role in helping them achieve their goals and ultimately, expand their 5G networks. I love that my role offers a nice balance between internal and external business relationships that build towards a common goal of better wireless connectivity for all.
What is your role and responsibilities with Mobilitie?
As Director of Asset Management, my primary goal is to clear obstacles and support my team in the day-to-day work they do. When not clearing blockers, there’s a variety of tasks, from data audits and reporting, to creating and implementing processes for managing our assets according to each portfolio’s needs. No portfolio is the same – and each one has various requirements and demands – so it’s critical for my team to have a full view of exactly what each account needs, and when.
What’s one thing you love about Mobilitie?
While the work we do is often challenging and pushes us to think creatively, what I really love are the people I work with. There’s nothing better than being able to collaborate with clever and professional people. It really makes those heavy lifts much more pleasant.
What’s one thing you’re proud of during your time at Mobilitie?
Spearheading the creation of a data repository/tracker that collected and compiled data from many simultaneous meetings and requests for one of our major venues. With this tracker, there was more visibility into the project’s needs and our teams were able to begin reviewing and responding to the required actions in real-time so we can meet the aggressive deadlines.
In your career, what have you found to be the biggest takeaway that you want others to know?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. In order to truly accomplish your goal (or even learn that your team isn’t as efficient as it could be with getting a task done), it’s important to understand why things are done a certain way, what problem you’re trying to solve for, and ask for clarification when needed. These are also great opportunities to learn something new. In fact, you might be surprised how often those around you have the same question.
What would the perfect weekend consist of?
Taking a short road trip to explore a nearby town, hike to a scenic spot, and find those small businesses that are hidden gems. I’m also a huge coffee aficionado – I’m always down to drive around to find a great coffee roaster.
