Giving transit operators greater line of sight with Wi-Fi data
In 2019, BAI Communications (BAI) developed a solution with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to monitor station occupancy using anonymized Wi-Fi association data. That technology found an unexpected new purpose with the outbreak of COVID-19, when large crowds suddenly became a public health issue.
