BAI to participate in Toronto’s Doors Open event

25 May 2022

BAI in Canada will be participating in Toronto’s annual Doors Open event this year alongside the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), our Toronto transportation partner. The City-wide event provides an excellent opportunity to engage with the public and showcase our connected vehicle demo train. This year will be our fourth year participating in the event.

The event will run on Saturday, May 28th from 10am-5pm ET at Lower Bay Station. The subway station, which is not typically open to the public, was decommissioned in 1966 and is now used for film shoots and off-track operations.

Every year, Doors Open attracts nearly 2 million visits to 700 unique locations across the city. Over the course of the event, buildings of architectural, historic, cultural and social significance open their doors to the public, allowing free access to properties that are either not usually open to the public, or would normally charge an entrance fee. Many locations have organized guided tours, displays and activities to enrich the visitor experience.

We look forward to being a part of the event and sharing our onboard connectivity expertise with the Toronto community.
