Jeremy Spencer appointed as Marketing & Communications Director for BAI’s UK business

24 June 2021

BAI’s recently announced 20-year concession with TfL to deliver high-speed mobile connectivity across London will see the UK office grow accordingly in coming months. This momentous project and corresponding investment underlines BAI’s long-term commitment to the UK and desire to expand its European presence in coming years. To that end, BAI welcomes Jeremy Spencer to the UK team, reporting to CEO BAI UK Billy D’Arcy in the role of Marketing & Communications Director for the UK business.

In this newly created role, Jeremy will embed BAI’s vision to bring our brand, products, and services to market in the UK, underpinned by our neutral host 5G strategy. Jeremy will develop and drive market-leading marketing strategies, coupling them with first-rate execution to promote our business, increase revenue, and fulfil our ambition to unlock our growth potential.

Jeremy joins us from BT where, since helping to launch the UK’s first 5G public network, he has led 5G innovation for BT Enterprise. In this role Jeremy was responsible for co-creating and promoting 5G solutions to help public and private sector organisations use 5G technology to transform their operations. Jeremy came to BT from the mobile operator EE where he led commercial development and marketing of new business solutions. This saw him launch the UK’s first 4G network and the EE brand into the large business market.

Having started his career in engineering designing data networks for large business customers, Jeremy transitioned to a more commercial track and has held a variety of UK and global sales, marketing, and product roles. Jeremy has worked extensively across the global technology and telecoms sector for a variety of service providers (including Cable & Wireless and Talk Talk), software and IP/ethernet equipment vendors.

Jeremy commences his role on Monday, 28 June 2021, reporting to CEO, BAI UK, Billy D’Arcy.
