Our mission at BAI Communications is simple. We keep people connected. Connected to information, entertainment and each other – every hour of every day. It’s an exciting time, with many new opportunities arising each year.
If you share this passion, we believe you’re the right person to help us achieve this mission – the right person to help us build our future.
We are focused on maintaining and growing our high-performing culture. We are committed to our employees development and all we ask is that you invest the same amount of time and energy in yourself, to grow and focus on what matters.
Join us and you’ll get to ask the tough questions, to push yourself out of your comfort zone, to draw on your courage and curiosity. Above all, you’ll be encouraged and supported by your colleagues and leaders.
Supporting young talent and diversity
In 2009, BAI Communications took an industry leadership role by establishing an Apprentice Training Scheme. This program ensures that the next generation of broadcast technicians carry the RF skills of prior generations combined with the IP networking and digital communications skills that will underpin broadcasting into the future.
Through our apprenticeship programme we now have 17 fully qualified broadcast technicians, including the first female broadcast technician in Australia.
Alicia Nicol began her apprenticeship in 2013 in Shepparton on the HF services while studying for her Certificate 3 – Electronics and Communication. Subsequently she transferred to Field Services for 24 months, completing her course at the end of 2015. We’re proud of all our graduates and excited to see more interest from young women in this exciting area.
