At Smart Cities 2022, industry leaders will cover a variety of topics at virtual conferences over three days.
In the first conference of the Smart Cities Summit on 10 May, the discussion centres around the communities of the future. What will be the digital hallmarks of future cities, towns, and suburbs? How will people move around them? How will they relate to one another? What will be the features that define quality of life in 2022 and beyond?
Conference two on 11 May will explore digital connectivity, as the backbone of modern life. It’ll consider the networks that connect us professionally, socially, and technologically; and look at the work that needs to be done to keep these secure, efficient, and fit-for-future purpose. It’ll also debate the digital divide and consider how gaps can be closed.
The final conference on 12 May will examine the increasing need for cities and communities to take a circular approach to how resources are used and consumed. The participants will look at smarter ways of consumption; and most importantly, the role technology will have to play in achieving circular economy goals.
