An announcement from BAI Communications Group CEO Jim Hassell:

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Lambourne to the new position of CEO, Broadcast Australia.

In line with our strategic priorities, this role has been created to ensure that Broadcast Australia receives the focus it deserves, while allowing me to focus on the group-wide strategy for BAI Communications. In my role as Group CEO, I will continue to oversee all of the BAI companies and drive strategic growth in our broadcasting and transit markets.

Effective from 1 December, Peter will take over end-to-end responsibility for managing the Australian transmission services business. Peter will focus on delivering the strategy for Broadcast Australia, positioning the business as trusted industry leaders, broadening our services to the commercial and public broadcasters, and driving continuous improvement. The teams that predominantly support Broadcast Australia will report through to Peter.

Peter joined Broadcast Australia as our Chief Operating Officer in 2011, leading a range of operational improvements and delivering the Restack project. Peter has also had a major role in strengthening our customer relationships, particularly with the ABC and SBS. Prior to joining BA, Peter held senior positions at Digital Distribution Australia (DDA), Broadcast Transmission Services (BTS), WIN Television and THL Australia.

I am immensely proud of the work we do at Broadcast Australia and I’m confident that Peter’s leadership in this new role will only strengthen the business.

Please join me in congratulating Peter on his new role.

Jim
